A warm welcome and thank you to everyone with an interest in training and working with Youthline Otago.

 We are looking for compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic volunteer staff of all ages 18 and over to join Youthline Otago.  We offer a high-quality training programme, with good clinical supervision and support for those who volunteer.

 

We have up to 36 places for trainees this year, with a maximum of 12 people in each programme.  Please apply early, as places fill quickly. Please check you can make all the dates for whichever programme you wish to join.

 

This is intense training time and it is important that you can attend all sessions.  Missing a session can leave you with a gap in the knowledge and development you will need if you proceed to working for Youthline Otago.  The learning is cumulative and developmental, and the process of the group is a core part of this.

 

Also, the personal sharing involved during training is highly valued by trainees and is a strong foundation for the support that is given and needed by voluntary helpline staff and community educators; your presence for the full training is important for this reason too.
